Description
The pilgrimage church of Notre-Dame de Torcé is remarkable for its architecture, furnishings and stained glass windows. Its ten or so stained glass windows offer a rich panorama of the art of stained glass from the 16th to the 20th century and the vicissitudes to which these works were subjected, often moved, modified and restored. Mainly devoted to Marian iconography, these stained glass windows reflect the evolution of styles, tastes and the different workshops that produced them.
