  • Boucle Vélo
  • Road bicycle
72440 Bouloire

Description

From valleys to plateaux
Discover the edge of the Calais plateau, where the relief and landscapes contrast with the Bouloire sector, where the sandy-clay soils are flatter and more wooded. As you pass through the Tusson, Etangsort and Hune valleys, discover Bouloire and admire the Church of Saint-Georges, the Chapel of Saint-Sébastien and, above all, the 15th-century Château. Passing through Volnay, you'll come across the Church of Saint-Vincent, the Chapel of Saint-Jacques and the small Manoir de Sargilet with its round turret. Along the way, you'll come across the sixty-year-old Sapins des Pauvres, bequeathed to help the needy. Along the way, take the opportunity to see the church of Saint-Martin, the private manor houses of Les Bois and Les Hayes in Tresson and the church of Sainte-Osmane. Once you reach the 4-flower village of Cogners, admire the church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul and the feudal castle. The Château du Vau in Sainte-Cérotte is also sure to please. Take the time to admire the churches of Ecorpain, Evaillé and Maisoncelles on your way. - Follow signs n°8 (light green) - Two possible variants: between Maisoncelles and Tresson / between Évaillé and Sainte-Osmane: follow the unnumbered cycle signs. - This loop is connected to circuits 7, 9 and 10. The complete guide "Le Perche Sarthois à vélo" is available for €3 from tourist offices and bookshops in Sarthe.
