Mystical Vespers - Festival Musique à Courtanvaux

Created in 2023 with the ambition of bringing music for all to the heart of Bessé-sur-Braye and its château, the Festival Musique à Courtanvaux will continue to develop during its fourth edition, to be held from 15 to 19 July 2026. True to its identity, this year's festival will once again offer a demanding yet accessible programme, combining masterpieces of the repertoire, young talent and established artists, in the exceptional setting of the Château de Courtanvaux and the heritage sites that surround it. On Saturday 18 July, at 9pm in the church of Notre-Dame de Saint-Calais, we welcome the great pianist Laurent CABASSO. The appearance of Laurent Cabasso to perform the Goldberg Variations is a rare event. A pianist renowned for many years for the depth of his interpretations, his musical rigour and his intimate knowledge of the great repertoire, he approaches this monumental work with a maturity and freedom that reveal all its inner richness. To hear an artist of this stature in a setting so close to the public offers a privileged opportunity to approach one of the absolute summits of the history of music.
