PASSAGE EN REVUE

Taking as her starting point her astonishing past as a revue leader at the Folies Bergère, Estelle Danière invites us behind the scenes of her life as a woman and an artist. Between humour, emotion and tenderness, she recalls the director of a theatre with a devastating sense of humour, her mother, a singer and tragedienne in her spare time, her love for a muscular Polish dancer, a grandmother who cheated death, and the perilous descent of the stairs and the mixed showers in the legendary establishment!

In a show in the shape of a pocket music hall, mixing hours of glory and bitter defeats, each of the 20 songs gives rise to a real tableau, sung, danced and spoken. With the help of her pianist, Estelle Danière performs with charm and elegance a sort of musical striptease or textual striptease, so to speak!
