This "Mons Mirabilis", whose origins go back a very long way, is built on one of the highest points in the département and dominates the whole of the old Perche-Gouët region, of which it was one of five baronies. The castle occupies a remarkable site, on an isolated hill with steep slopes, from where you can see a vast landscape. This commune has a homogeneous urban heritage and high-quality buildings combining red brick, tufa stone and lime rendering.
The Petite Cité de Caractère is easy to explore thanks to the signposted route starting from the château square.
