By Les Fracassés
A director witnesses the invasion of his administration by a new, synthetic and meaningless language, Pydehyde.
He himself, overwhelmed by a system whose language is only accessible to the initiated, is unable to read a report concerning him, and so has to have it translated...!
And so begins a hilarious whirlwind of mindless discussions about absurd procedures. The audience is even invited to learn the language from an extravagant teacher.
It's a gritty comedy with the same rhythm as the cogs in this machine that crushes humanity, and the situational comedy doesn't hide the depth of the reflection, awakening very topical echoes in us all. After all, aren't we all up against the absurdity of bureaucracy and information technology, or the novlangue of consultancy firms?
