Exhibition in aid of the Toukoul Association
Who are we?
Les Amis du Toukoul is an association in the north of France that helps an orphanage located in the commune of Burayu, a few kilometres from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. The orphanage cares for a total of 185 children: 59 are housed in the Burayu orphanage and 126 are placed with foster families, from the age of 14, to help them reintegrate into a conventional family system. Of these children, 56 are carriers of the AIDS virus and require regular medical care.

In France, several associations working for the same orphanage decided to join forces to be stronger and more effective. The result is the association Les Enfants du Toukoul, whose mission is to raise the funds needed to run the structures on site, and to manage and monitor them. Our association is part of a group of associations that includes Les Amis du Toukoul, Les Enfants avant tout, Enfance et Partage Haute Picardie, Passerelle, Enfance et Vie and the Arc en Ciel foundation.
