A farming couple see three nuns arrive at their house
who say they have come to attend the St Martin's Day procession planned in the village. Inspired by her faith, the farmer agrees to give the trio free lodging for the night. In reality, these women are sisters in name only. They are nothing more than petty thieves looking for a place to hide after robbing a jewellery shop. By a funny coincidence, one of the robbers is a former bar hostess whose favours the farmer indulged in during escapades in Paris at the Salon de l'Agriculture. Quiproquos, twists and suspense are the watchwords of this comedy.
